Positive Affirmations

Ok, so when you think of "Positive Affirmations" I'm sure some of you may immediately think of Stuart Smalley of SNL.  Maybe I'm just dating myself, but anyone around my age definitely remembers..."Because I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and, doggonit, people like me!"

Positive affirmations are our brain’s way of directing our body’s energy to keep you motivated. The brain cannot see or hear, it only reacts to what you feed it. Negative affirmations, that most of us say to ourselves way too often are: “I am always tired” or “Why can’t I ever do anything right?”, "Nothing fits me!". These negative affirmations only make our negative energy stronger and stand in our way. Here are a few positive affirmations to help get you started.
For Exercise:

• I love to exercise.

• Exercise makes me feel good.

* I control my attitude and it is good.
* I am proud of how hard I try.

Begin each day with your positive affirmations. Writing them down in a journal where you can see them is helpful. Repeat them to yourself in the morning, throughout the day, and before you go to bed at night. Give yourself permission to believe in yourself, and to be grateful for all that you have and are, a healthy, positive, wonderful you!
